With an online application, you can claim a pension (old-age pension; early old-age pension; disability pension; widow’s pension; widower’s pension; and orphan’s pension) from the pension insurance of the Slovak Republic or from another state of the European Economic Area, if you reside in the Slovak Republic (SR) or were last insured under the legislation of the SR and are also a citizen of a European Union (EU) state or reside in an EU state. (Article 45(4) of Regulation (EC) No. 987/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 September 2009 establishing the procedure for implementing Regulation (EC) No. 883/2004 on the coordination of social security systems and Article 3 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2018/1724 of 2 October 2018 on the establishment of a single digital gateway to provide access to information, procedures and assistance and problem-solving services and amending Regulation (EU) No 1024/2012).
