Deactivation of the mailbox

Deactivation is a procedure that disables the mailbox for the delivery of messages. The access to the mailbox is still possible and its content is saved.

To deactivate the mailbox, you have to use the deactivating function of the mailbox or send request in the paper form with the certified signature of the applicant. The mailbox will be deactivated on the date that he/she applies for, but at the earliest the third day after the request.

The mailbox is automatically deactivated in cases:

• the death of the natural person;
• the final decision of the declaration of death of the natural person;
• the final decision of the deprivation of legal capacity or decision of the limitation of legal capacity.

Reactivation

In case that the electronic mailbox was not deleted, the owner may apply for its reactivation, but not sooner than 6 months after the last deactivation. For this purpose, he/she sends request and the mailbox will be deactivated on the date that he/she applied for, but at the earliest the third day after the request.

If the mailbox was during the last 15 months deactivated twice the owner may activate it for the delivery only after 12 months after the last deactivation.

The request for the reactivation of the mailbox is send through the function of the mailbox or in the paper form with the certified signature of the applicant. This reactivation is charged with administration fee - 10 EUR (paper form) or 5 EUR (electronic form).

The mailbox is reactivated for the delivery if:

• the applicant is natural person – entrepreneur, who is according to special rule entitled to continue with the entrepreneurship of the owner of the mailbox;
• the court will find out that person declared as death is alive and final decision of the death is canceled;
• the reason for deprivation of legal capacity or its limitation is canceled.

In these cases, the reactivation is free of charge.

Deleting of electronic mailbox

The electronic mailbox with its content will be deleted three years after the death of the owner of the mailbox, declaration of death of the owner or dissolution of the owner.
